Review: Rugby World Cup 2011 (360)

Rugby World Cup 2011 is a game that is unsure of its identity. I mean, can you really call a game Rugby World Cup 2011 if it only has 10 of the 20 teams licensed to appear in the game? Is it really Rugby World Cup 2011 with only half of the participants of the actual Rugby World Cup 2011? Read the full story

Darren Aronofsky Bids Farewell To The Wolverine

I’m a fan of Darren Aronofsky. He knows what he’s doing, and he tends to surround himself with people who, in turn, know what they’re doing. This combination produces the results we’ve seen from Aronofsky. That being said, I had no idea how he would tackle a movie like Wolverine. As time passed, and more was revealed about the plot, I started hoping that Aronofsky’s The Wolverine would be a diamond in the rough; a redeeming X-Men movie. News broke yesterday, however, that Darren Aronofsky has bid The Wolverine farewell. Read the full story

Second Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Trailer Released

I feel like such a novice for not knowing that a sequel to Tekken Tag Tournament was being made. I guess with all of the hype over Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Mortal Kombat, and the Street Fighter X Tekken/Tekken X Street Fighter games, things are bound to slip through. I loved Tekken Tag Tournament on PS2, so I’m really looking forward to this.

Review: Nancy Drew Shadow at the Water’s Edge (PC)

Almost two months ago I played my first Nancy Drew game, Secrets Can Kill. With that being the first true exposure I had to the Nancy Drew franchise, I had no idea that I would enjoy it as much as I did. With Shadow at the Water’s Edge, I unfortunately can’t say the same.

Lindsey, J-Pop Suuuupa Star!

I know this might sound odd, but I really like Japanese music. I do like the traditional music, but I am talking about silly J-Pop.

What tickles me to no end is that in Japan you can make millions of dollars and not dance or even have a good voice.

Hello friends, I am going to get a passport, fly to Japan, and be a J-Pop Star. I have an alright voice and my dance moves can get me by.

Shit… if this crap can be popular in Japan, be prepared for me to be rolling in some SERIOUS bank in the next few years lol

About Marooners’ Rock

Everyone grows up; this is how the world works. Just because we grow decrepit and old, however, does not mean we have to forsake the things that make us happy, childish though they may seem. This is the core concept of Marooners’ Rock; we geek out on the things of our past, present, and future. Society and cultural norms be damned!
