I’ve never been a big fan of the Resident Evil series. It’s never held even the slightest bit of appeal for me. Lindsey, on the other hand, has for the most part been completely enamored with it, so perhaps she will be more excited by part of this news than I am. Wesker (a Resident Evil character, I guess) is coming to Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Oh, and Spider-Man. Read the full story

Personally, I’m not particularly excited about either of these characters appearing in Marvel vs. Capcom 3, but hey, maybe one of you guys happens to be shit-your-pants excited about it. Tron Bonne was an antagonist in a Mega Man game who developed feelings for Mega Man (or some such crap), and X-23 is a female clone of Wolverine (this makes how many clones/derivatives of Wolverine now?). Earlier this week we gave you a plethora of screenshots (I just would like to know if you know what a plethora is.) highlighting Viewtiful Joe and Dormammu, recently announced as new challengers in Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again (and again, and again, and again, until you just want to shoot me to get me to shut the hell up about it); I am getting more and more excited for this game with each character reveal. Needless to say, we’re pretty excited about Marvel vs. Capcom 3 around here. The slow but steady reveal process of playable characters is definitely serving its purpose of getting me even more excited about a game that I can’t have until next year, and luckily, their odd selection of characters is turning into something really interesting. Two new characters have been announced; one is a fan favorite, and one is a bit more obscure. Read the full story

Late last night, Marvel.com gave us an unintended sneak peak at two more characters for Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds. Though quickly pulled, their gallery was prematurely updated with character art and screenshots of two new characters, Thor and Amaterasu (from Okami). Luckily, the internet was ever vigilant and managed to grab these screenshots before they disappeared.

Those of you lucky enough to be at Comic-Con have already seen the four new characters announced for Capcom’s Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds. If you are one of these lucky few, you have my jealousy and scorn. For the rest of us, there’s the magic of the Internet.

Lindsey and I love (most) Marvel Comics. Lindsey and I love (most) Capcom games. Having said that about both of us, I think it should come as no surprise that Lindsey and I love the Marvel vs. Capcom series of games. Lindsey in particular is proud of her rare copies of Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes on both Dreamcast and the original Xbox. You can perhaps begin to imagine our joy when Marvel and Capcom announced Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds back in April.
