So last Friday was our 8th episode. Crazy to think that we have been doing our MehCasts for about 2 months now but it’s been great. Prior to the show we were at the local Tweet Up that I mentioned in a recent blog. We were originally going to try and air the show from the event but since we have ghetto equipment there would have been no way we could have cancelled out the background noise. Our viewers probably wouldn’t have been able to hear us which would have defeated the entire purpose of the show.
Instead Chris and I went to the event to have a little bit of fun, and then rushed like crazy people across town so that we could get set up and have everything running by 7. Since our lives are filled with WIN (please detect the obvious sarcasm) we had loads of tech issues which resulted in our show starting about 7 minutes late. Sorry guys.
On the show we did talk about the Tweet Up, how I totally blew it when meeting Maynard (see prior post and laugh at my misfortune), how Disney is releasing the original X-Men cartoon on DVD (finally!!), our Wii addiction, and then talked about random stuff like how Limp Bizkit (God help us) is getting back together and touring.
Some sad things were discussed like how Nine Inch Nails might be no more after this years tour with Janes Addiction. James Iha, of Smashing Pumpkin fame, is supposedly creating a “super group” with Taylor Hanson (yes…. Hanson), a guy from Cheap Trick, and some other guy that I can’t remember right now. I think the only thing remotely close to “super” in that group is James Iha but whatever. What do I know.
Now our Weekly picks:
Song of the Week (chris) – Eulogy by Tool
Song of the Week (lindsey) – Maynards Dick by Tool
TV show of the Week (chris) – The Original X-Men Cartoon
TV show of the Week (lindsey) -Throwdown with Bobby Flay
Movie of the Week (chris) -Knocked Up
Movie of the Week (lindsey) – Don’t Be A Menace To South Central While Drinking Juice In The Hood
Thanks again for checking out our MehCast and remember that if you can’t make it, we do record it!

Our Friday the 13th episode started with some unlucky technical difficulties, resulting in a late start of almost 10 minutes! We sincerely apologize, but we were so busy playing on our new Wii that we didn’t take the time to confirm that everything was ready to go. Our bad.
This episode saw Lindsey in aluminum devil horns (which were easy to do since all she did was wrap them around her real horns – I’ll probably get in trouble for that one). We discussed the See’s Candy dental assistant conspiracy, a ridiculous experience we had at the local Apple store, Joaquin Phoenix on Letterman, Maynard coming to our local Whole Foods, Chris Brown and what a bastard he is, our new wii, Lindsey’s new iPhone, cool iPhone apps, the recently ported Kingdom Hearts game, the Joydick (masturbatory game controller), our neighbors finally being kicked out, the bailout plans, the stimulus, the problems Scholastic and the Amazon Kindle are facing, Lindsey’s tax experience, Lindsey’s wish to return to college, our fridge problem, and our gross chicken problem.
We discussed our dog Donnie and his brush with the police, a cool little kitty cat in our apartment complex, my little cousin Pantera, the legend of the Dude from Unit 131, our rediscovery of a local frozen custard place, my Jay and Silent Bob alarm clock, Nip Tuck, Scrubs, Heroes, and South Park.
Good show!

Good morning, World of Meh!
So last night marked Episode 5 of Year 1 of our weekly MehCast. It was a good show, and, if I recall correctly, our best attended and longest show yet! The two of us had a real blast with this episode, and we really appreciate everyone who has been watching and participating.
We started off the show by discussing Lindsey’s Princess Leia style aluminum foil hair, followed by the “Yo Stink” music video featured on the most recent episode of Nip/Tuck (also posted about earlier this week). Talking about the video lead into talking Nip/Tuck, which lead to Kitchen Nightmares, Smallville, and the upcoming new episode of Heroes. We discussed our tryout for Jeopardy! (which was posted about yesterday), Star Wars Battlefront II, Windows Mobile applications, and our plans to get our drug-dealing, loud, douche neighbours kicked out of the apartment complex.
We also had our Weekly Picks:
Song of the Week (Chris): Bat Country by Avenged Sevenfold
Song of the Week (Lindsey): Sex on Fire by Kings of Leon
TV Show of the Week (Chris): Fawlty Towers
TV Show of the Week (Lindsey): Bridezillas
Movie of the Week (Chris): Dr. Strangelove, or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb
Movie of the Week (Lindsey): The Fountain
We also discussed some of our upcoming wedding plans, my issues with farting, and other topics which I can’t even begin to remember.
We hope everyone enjoyed Episode 5 of the MehCast, and we hope you all make it back for Episode 6! See you next week!

Boobies!
Within that one word lies the secret of our success with last night’s MehCast. Lindsey wore a top that almost completely failed to conceal her cleavage, which was a reoccuring topic throughout the night. Overall, we feel that it was a good episode. We had a lot of fun, and a large (large for us, I mean) number of viewers. Unfortunately, due to streaming through our wireless router, we also had a large lag (for some people, up to 90 seconds). Next week we’ll pull out our extra long ethernet cable and hook it up that way, which will hopefully solve the lag problem.
We had a large variety of topics to discuss. We started off with a timeline of our week, going through our experiences on a daily basis. I had taken this week off from work so that we could meet with many wedding vendors for our wedding at the end of this year. We discussed ridiculous price differences between different vendors ($300 cake vs. $1000 cake, and $4000 flowers vs. $2000 flowers). We went into a little detail about our wedding cake of choice. We discussed a flower arrangement shop that didn’t do flower arrangements.
Other topics included Lindsey’s workout regime, our lack of a trip to San Francisco, an elbow in my face, cartoon violence and video game violence, and crazy drivers. We went into our apartment being sprayed for spiders, which had been a problem, and a wasp issue at a local Burger King restaurant. We talked about Heath Ledger’s Oscar nomination, the abomination known as Smallville, as well as other shows and movies like Kitchen Nightmares, America’s Best Dance Crew, Firefly, Hell’s Kitchen, the Street Fighter movie, This is Spinal Tap, The Fall, Rome, and more. We discussed Joaquin Phoenix’s rap turn, and the videos that have popped up on the internet. We talked about a couple of songs we liked, such as Spinal Tap’s Big Bottoms, and the Anti-Nowhere League’s So What. We also talked about the lack of real multiplayer download play for the Nintendo DS game, Left Brain Right Brain.
All in all, it was a lot of fun, and we enjoyed the episode a great deal.
Boobies!

Good afternoon, Meh-nans! Meh-ple? Meh-tans? Meh-nanites?
I don’t know about that last one…
Anyway, last night marked Year 1, Episode 3 of our weekly MehCast! We ran just a few minutes over an hour, and ended shortly after my cousin’s wife (cousin-in-law?) came over. We had a fairly good turnout, although it seemed to fluctuate over the course of the broadcast. All in all, however, I feel it was a good show, and we had a lot of fun.
We discussed my Hello Kitty incident (which can be found in more detail on a recent blog post), as well as a brief Q&A session with a single question, submitted by myself, as a joke. We discussed Lindsey’s fear of Black Widow spiders, as well as her encounters in the apartment with a few (which can be found in more detail in a post later on today or tomorrow). Topics of discussion also included the Watchmen movie, the upcoming Cowboy Bebop movie and its casting, and Joaquin Phoenix’s turn to the world of professional rap. We discussed, briefly, Smallville, Heroes, South Park, a new Star Wars “Force” toy, my beard and t-shirt (which can be found in more detail on an upcoming blog post this weekend or Monday), as well as our planned (but obviously unfulfilled) trip to San Francisco today.
I’m going to spend this week in development of a new aluminum foil hat for Lindsey, at the request of one of our viewers. I was able to rig one together during the show, but it was of mediocre quality and construction. Episode 4 will witness the debut of a rather more advanced and sturdy aluminum hat, so be sure to tune in for that, if nothing else!
Year 1, Episode 4 of the weekly MehCast will air next Friday, January 23rd, at 7:00pm PST (GMT -8) on UStream (http://www.ustream.tv/channel/world-of-meh/). Make sure to check it out!

Last Friday, Chris and I had a rather interesting show. For starters we had to cut it at an hour due to us having company come over. Then we experienced tech issues about half way through the show in which we had to cut the feed and restream. Our total live viewer count was 2, but we knew in advance that some of the guys who were there for our first episode wouldn’t be able to make it.
I knew that it would be difficult for us to try and cram in all of our topics in a 60 minute show but I think we did an alright job. We discussed our fantastic neighbors again, our picks from the recent CES show, the upcoming Wolverine and Dragon Ball movies, the horrific cover of Depeche Modes “Personal Jesus” that was ripped to shreds by Hillary Duff, and many other things.
One topic that I would love to talk more about is how I personally feel that Queen should be given their own version of Guitar Hero or Rock Band. They have a large catalog of songs that many people know and many people would have fun singing them or playing the guitar to. Freddie Mercury had an amazing voice and Brian Mays is an exceptional guitar player. Hopefully there can be some downloadable content or a track pack released in the near future.
All in all, the show was really fun and even if we didn’t have that large of a turn out Chris and I still had a lot of fun. That’s what matters, right?
As for tonights show, we are going to make it really count because we felt that an hour is a bit short and we are going out of town tomorrow to San Francisco. Be sure to tune in and spread the word. We love the live interaction with the chat room.

Well tonight Chris and I had our first MehCast and it was fantastic. We started off a bit slow due to a lag at first and some people experiencing technical difficulties but once things started rockin’ everybody had a fun time. Having a chat room along with the live video is really helpful because it allows us to interact with our viewers and get some much appreciated feedback. Some of my fellow Tweeples came and showed their support. While they weren’t all able to stay for the full thing, something was definitely better than nothing and we enjoyed them.
After Chris and I introduced ourselves, we paid our respects to the Travolta family. Today their 16 year old son Jett was found on the bathroom floor at their vacation home in the Bahamas and passed away on the way to the hospital. Obviously John isn’t going to see our MehCast but it is still something that we felt necessary. Once that was finished our Q&A portion got started. Some of the guys submitted really great questions that allowed us to really get personal and got the chat room going. Then we started just going on about stuff. I discussed the Imperial March ringtone of doom and Chris went a bit more into detail about our recycling adventures.
Some of the fun things we touched on were movies and music. Surprisingly one of the guys hasn’t seen The Dark Knight yet. It came as a shock to all of us since that movie was so amazing. Video games were also discussed, especially the Star Wars ones. It was nice being able to talk with people who shared similar interests. It made it a lot easier rather than trying to force conversation with a bunch of strangers. At times it felt as if they were in the room with us and we didn’t have a camera on a tripod glaring at us which made our part of the MehCast a breeze. We are really looking forward to doing next weeks episode and I personally can’t wait. I think I might go and do some spur of the moment chats or record some videos for YouTube in the mean time.
As of right now we are planning on airing our episodes once a week on Fridays. They will always be at 7 PM PST but their length will probably vary. If we would have had more people in the room tonight we could have easily gone longer than we did but 86 minutes sure isn’t bad for the first time. The great thing about UStream is that we can also have it record at the same time so our viewers who might be unable to make it due to work or other plans can still watch whenever they can.
Before I wrap this blog up, I would like to say thanks to a couple of guys. One is our Canadian friend @slabbe from Twitter. He has really helped Chris and I a lot over these past couple of days with World of Meh and we greatly appreciate it. It was through him that I found out about UStream and he also was so kind to design our logo. On Twitter he even twitted about the show for us and on his personal blogsite, which is under construction right now, he has a direct link to our site with our blogsite icon. Once his site is finished we will be sure to provide you readers a link so that you can check him out. @Philflipsnor (from Twitter) helped us out with some great questions and by also suggesting Podcasts on iTunes. Finally, @roomerholmes (from Twitter as well) submitted a question to help us get the ball rolling. All three of these guys were a part of the first show and chat so thank you all so much for being a part of something so special to Chris and I. I hope that you guys can always make it because we had a great time.
Next week, we have no idea what our episode will be about so input is always welcome. You can either leave your ideas in a comment, in a Direct Message through my Twitter, in a Private Message either of our Myspaces or by email. My email is lindsey@worldofmeh.com and you can reach Chris at chris@worldofmeh.com.
If you haven’t bookmarked us, please do so as we try to blog at least a few times a day and be sure to bookmark our UStream channel that can be found at http://ustream.tv/channel/world-of-meh.
