Moments ago, our review for this wonderful game went live. Assassin’s Creed Revelations brings the fascinating tales of Altaïr Ibn-La’Ahad and Ezio Auditore da Firenze to their conclusions, while developing the story of the Assassin’s Creed universe and of Desmond Miles even further. Have you been looking forward to getting your hands on the game? Well, we have an extra copy generously provided by the cats at Ubisoft…just for YOU! Read the full story

I started playing Assassin’s Creed Revelations with the plan to spend a good 10-15 minutes once I arrived in Constantinople free running around, familiarizing myself with the city, and refamiliarizing myself with the mechanics so that I could be sure that I kept my motion fluid and that I knew where my escape routes were. George Takei’s signature “Oh Myyyyy…” suddenly burst forth from my phone, heralding a text message, and I realized that my 10-15 minute plan had turned into a three hour spree of guard killing and free roaming. Whoops. Read the full story

2009 was a pretty horrible year for me. In the course of one weekend I managed to lose my entire family. One was through death, and the others were through a reason I won’t get into, but it was beyond my control and completely blindsided me. To then be only 26 and have no family, no identity… it shocked me to the core. To this day I don’t think I have fully recovered from it, as the loss seems to become magnified on special days like birthdays and holidays, but there is one thing that has been able to help: Assassin’s Creed.

Nintendo did their thing, a new console was shown and my body was ready for it. Was yours? What did you think about what Nintendo is dishing out? More importantly, does this newest development make you want to sink some money into Nintendo once again?

Update: A few minutes ago Ubisoft unveiled the upcoming Assassin’s Creed game, Revelations, along with details. How accurate was I? Take a look here!
Authors Note: After I started to write this, two new video reveals have been presented so they will be broken down and analyzed below as well. As future video reveals are released I will continue to update this article.
For a few days the Internet has been buzzing about revealing the next Assassin’s Creed game. On the Facebook Fan Page for the game fans are asked to Tweet and spread the word to their friends, and the more people who “like” the page and tell their friends, the more we will see of the reveal. Right now the Activity Monitor says it’s at 74%, but from what I’ve been able to see I’ve managed to uncover many clues about what Ubisoft has to offer next.

Is online connectivity really all it’s cracked up to be? In the wake of Sony completely losing their online service for over a week, I just have to ask one potentially-obvious-but-maybe-not question: Do we as gamers really need online? In this modern era of gaming where so much is convenient and instantaneous, is online service a necessity, the future of gaming, a perk that we take for granted or something which, when you get right down to it, is easily disposable?

Ever since I played the first Assassin’s Creed, I’ve wanted to be as badass as Altaïr or Ezio. I want the outfit (preferably Altaïr’s), I want the hidden blade (you all have no idea how handy that would be), and I would love to be able to scale buildings with ease and hop around from place to place. Sadly, I am a 28 year old female with no awesome costume, no awesome hidden blade bracer, and a fear of heights. The other morning a glorious idea came to me while laying in bed with Chris, and it needs to become reality…

Yes, you read that correctly! Hot off the release of Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood and we already have DLC announced for it! I know, it’s fantastic. It gets better, too! If you really don’t believe it can get any better, you might want to keep reading, because it does. No, really. It does.
