World of Meh!

Good afternoon, all!

As discussed on Episode 27 of the MehCast, we have been considering a schedule change for a little while now.  Friday is generally a busy night for people, and we’ve been turning down a lot of family and friend invites because of the show. Add onto that our lower Friday night viewer base, and you get a schedule change!

Good morning!  We’re very sorry that we had to miss last night’s MehCast, but with the Blogathon, a wedding celebration party for Lindsey and I tonight, and two of my very good friends coming in to town to stay with us for the weekend, we had quite a lot going on!

More than anything else, I usually slack on the recap posts.  Well, this week I’m slacking less than usual!

Episode 26 told everyone about our entrance into the upcoming Blogathon this Saturday, as well as covering a few stories from our lives.  We went over some demos and games we got our hands on, and talked about our advance screening of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (review was posted a week ago).  It was a fairly standard episode.

Another episode has come and gone!  Episode 25 was one of our shorter episodes, as we had a very slow news week.  We did, however, spend a great deal of our week revamping the appearance and features of our blog!  We’ve also signed ourselves up for the Blogathon, starting at 6:00am on July 25th, with a new post every half hour for 24 hours!  Make sure to check us out on that day (and every other day, of course).

We kept ourselves on schedule for a second week in a row!  Following the macabre previous week, we had another big death: Billy Mays.  He had appeared on Conan just a few nights prior, doing fine.  We talked about Lindsey’s surprise birthday party, and our awesome Xbox 360 Elite that my mom got for our birthdays (mine is in October, so it’s very early)!  We also had fun talking about our dog’s spectacular diarrhea.  We talked about a bunch of other stuff, so go watch the saved episode to see it all!

The MehCast was missed for a couple of weeks because of life issues, but we came back last night and had a blast!  We unfortunately had to talk about the deaths of Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, and Michael Jackson.  We discussed our brand new kitten, Moogle, the Iran protests, Lindsey’s birthday (coming up on Monday! don’t forget to say Happy Birthday!), iPhone 3.0 software, and a bunch of movie and video game news!

Holy crap, we forgot a recap for Episode 22!  Episode 22 saw heavy E3 coverage, as well as the death of David Carradine.  There was a lot of movie news, a bit of tv/music news, and the announcement of a new game from Midway, MORAL KOMBAT!

Holy crap, we skipped two weeks of shows!  We tried, but just weren’t able to get it right the last two weeks.  Third time’s the charm, though, and we WILL be broadcasting tonight at 7:00pm PST (10:00pm EST).  Check us out at http://www.justin.tv/worldofmeh/.  We’ve really missed doing the show for the last two weeks, and we’re really looking forward to getting back on the air tonight!  We’ve had a very eventful, stressful, and time consuming few months, and unfortunately, not only had it affected our MehCast schedule, but our blog output as well.  We’ve gotten ourselves back on track with our blog output, and now we’re getting back on track with the MehCast, so be sure to be there, TONIGHT!

We are very sorry that Episode 23 was put off last week!  Lindsey had a last minute work event to attend, and it just isn’t the same without both of us there.  It doesn’t feel right to us to do it alone.  Throw on a busy weekend with a new pet, and the show just got left behind.  Coming up this week (June 19th), we have our one year engagement anniversary on Friday, so we will not be broadcasting that night.  We will be broadcasting Episode 23 of the MehCast on Sunday, June 21st, at 7:00pm PST (10:00pm EST) @ http://www.justin.tv/worldofmeh/.  Sorry for our erratic schedule over the last couple of months!  Once we get past this week, we should be back on a regular weekly schedule for a good long time!

Due to technical issues with my regular laptop, we were forced to broadcast episode 21 of the MehCast from my work laptop.  Fortunately, we discovered this issue well before our start time, so we were able to be prepared!  We ran about two hours last night, but had a lot of fun.  We didn’t bother getting too dressed up for the show; Lindsey swapped her shorts for jeans, and I just stayed in my pajamas.  It was comfortable.  We had sandwiches, chips, khiarmast, gummy bears, and more!
