Mega Man Universe Teaser Trailer Released

Hot off of last weeks announcement, today Capcom released the teaser trailer for Mega Man Universe. If you missed all of the news about it, in Mega Man Universe, which will be available on both Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network, “imagination is the star of the game” per the official press release.

Kenji Inafune, Head of Research and Development Management for Capcom was quoted as saying:

“We are thrilled to finally be able to announce Mega Man Universe. This game will break the mold and challenge the conventional wisdom of what a Mega Man game can be. When fans finally get to see it, I believe they’ll envision their most far-out Mega Man dreams coming true.”

The teaser trailer, that is a mix of real life and claymation, is a lot of fun, and will appeal to longtime fans of the Mega Man franchise. The trailer also has appearances by some well-known Capcom characters, and if you’re like me, you’ll love all of the game cabinets. It took me back to the awesome arcade days.

So far there is no release date for Mega Man Universe, but check out the trailer below, and feel free leave your thoughts, opinions, likes/dislikes in a comment!

I love the trailer, and I love the classic Mega-Man at the end. I can’t wait to see some gameplay footage.

Yeah that was seriously awesome. For the first time in years, I am genuinely excited about a Mega Man game, so that says a lot right there.

About Marooners’ Rock

Everyone grows up; this is how the world works. Just because we grow decrepit and old, however, does not mean we have to forsake the things that make us happy, childish though they may seem. This is the core concept of Marooners’ Rock; we geek out on the things of our past, present, and future. Society and cultural norms be damned!
