New Mortal Kombat Game Trailer

Toasty!

Not even a few days ago, I was getting depressed about the direction Mortal Kombat was going. Now, it’s turned right back around and traveling on the street of Awesomeness!

Being a longtime fan, it’s so fucking exciting to see that the game is going back to its roots. They brought back the fatalities, all of the characters look awesome, they kept Mileena rockin’ the sexy (NSFW) outfit, and it’s back to being good ol’ 2D! Classics FTW!

I loved seeing Reptile, Scorpion, Raiden, Shao Kahn, Sub-Zero, Nightwolf, Mileena, Kung Lao, and for a brief second, I believe I saw Sektor. Another thing that got me giddy was the introduction of ‘double team’. In Mortal Kombat: Deception, fans loved the Noob Smoke combo because you could do some serious damage. I’m surprised it took them this long to fully implement that into a game.

There are a few things that I wonder about like, why did Johnny Cage have some gangster-style tattoo across his chest? Why did Johnny Cage have to die, again? Did Liu Kang really die in MK vs. DC, so that’s why he is absent? Why did Kung Lao have to seriously violate Sub-Zero and his testicles?

Anyhoo…enough of my rambling. Check out the trailer for yourself right here, check out the official website, and let us know what you thought by commenting below!

About Marooners’ Rock

Everyone grows up; this is how the world works. Just because we grow decrepit and old, however, does not mean we have to forsake the things that make us happy, childish though they may seem. This is the core concept of Marooners’ Rock; we geek out on the things of our past, present, and future. Society and cultural norms be damned!
